Red River North RCMP arrest male after break and enter in progress

News release

On March 30, 2021, at approximately 1:10 am, Red River North RCMP along with Selkirk RCMP, responded to a report of a break and enter in progress at a residence on Benham Way, in the RM of East St. Paul.

The homeowner advised that someone had gained entry into their garage, rifled through their vehicles, and was now hiding in the basement of their residence.

Officers responded immediately and located the suspect hiding in a closet in the basement. He was arrested without incident.

Wayne Duck, 21, has been charged with Breaking and Entering, Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling House, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Theft and Failing to Comply. He was remanded into custody.

RCMP continue to investigate.
