RCMP Major Crimes continue to seek the public's assistance in locating a male wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant in relation to a homicide investigation.
Christian Nyabirungu (35) of Edmonton, Alta. is wanted for first degree murder, kidnapping and aggravated assault.
Nyabirungu may have since changed his appearance but is described as:
- Black skin
- 6' 2" tall
- 240 lbs
- Black hair
- Brown eyes
Nyabirungu has ties to Edmonton, Alta.; North Battleford, Sask.; Toronto, Ont.; and has family in Montreal, Que.
He is considered to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached by the public.

Police are looking for the public's assistance in locating Christian Nyabirungu (35) of Edmonton who is wanted for First Degree Murder, Kidnapping, and Aggravated Assault.
Nyabirungu is described as:

- Black hair
- Brown eyes
Nyabirungu has ties to Edmonton, Alta.; North Battleford, Sask.; and has family in Montreal, Que.

RCMP Major Crimes Unit request public's assistance
RCMP Major Crimes Unit and Strathcona RCMP have charged the following males with First Degree Murder in regard to the September 13, 2019 murder of Aldane Mesquita:
A 33-year-old male of Edmonton is charged with First Degree Murder, Kidnapping, and Aggravated Assault;
A 34-year-old male of Edmonton is charged with First Degree Murder, Kidnapping and Aggravated Assault;
A 31-year-old male of Edmonton is charged with First Degree Murder, Kidnapping, and Aggravated Assault;
A 29-year-old male of Edmonton is charged with First Degree Murder and Kidnapping.
Police are looking for the public's assistance in locating Christian Nyabirungu who is wanted for First Degree Murder Kidnapping, and Aggravated Assault.
