The Saint-Léonard RCMP is seeking the public's help to identify a person of interest following an incident of vandalism where a store was damaged in New Denmark, N.B.

On December 24, 2020, shortly before 11 p.m., an individual broke several windows at the Hansen Meat Shop, located on Route 108. It appears nobody entered the building and nothing was stolen during the incident.

The RCMP is releasing surveillance video photos of the individual and is hoping that despite the quality of the images, information from the public may help identify the person or provide additional information to help the investigation. The individual, who appeared to limp on his left leg was last seen leaving the scene on foot, towards Grand Falls.

The individual is described as being between five feet six inches (168 centimetres) and five feet eight inches (173 centimetres) tall, with a heavy build. At the time, the individual was wearing beige coveralls, a light coloured hat or hooded sweater, and his face was fully covered.

Anyone with information, or who recognizes the individual in the photo is asked to contact the Saint-Léonard RCMP Detachment at 506-473-3137. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by downloading the secure P3 Mobile App, or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimenb.ca.
