Update: RCMP investigating stabbing of 27-year-old man

Update: An individual has been arrested in relation to the stabbing incident. The man remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court by way of tele-remand on February 13, 2021. The RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance.

The West District RCMP is investigating a stabbing incident in St. George, N.B., and is hoping information from the public can help identify the person responsible.

On February 8, 2021, at approximately 11 p.m., police received a report of a man having been stabbed inside an apartment located on Main Street. The victim, a 27-year-old man from the community, was transported to the Saint John Regional Hospital with serious, but not life threatening injuries.

The suspect, who fled the scene on foot before police arrived, goes by 'Brad' and is described as a clean-shaven Caucasian man in his mid-20s. He is approximately five feet six inches (168 centimetres) tall with a slender build and has a tattoo on one of his arms of a playing card on fire. He was last seen wearing a camouflaged winter jacket with fur trim on the hood and worn-out brown shoes.
