On February 18, 2021, Melville RCMP responded to a suspicious persons/vehicle complaint at a rural property near Fenwood, Saskatchewan. At approximately 4:24 p.m., the homeowner noticed that a black car, driven by an unknown male, had backed in near their garage. As the homeowner went to investigate, the car drove to the end of the laneway and waited.

As the homeowner went back to the house to call 911, they were confronted by a second suspect who had been inside the house. The suspect was walking out of the residence carrying a number of firearms. The suspect allegedly pointed a handgun at the homeowner and fled with the stolen firearms to the waiting car. Both suspects then drove away heading westbound on Township Road 234. The homeowner did not sustain any physical injuries as a result of this incident.

Officers immediately conducted patrols in and around the area but neither the suspects nor the vehicle were located.

Suspect one (the driver) is described as being a White male, possibly in his late 20s, approx. 5'5"-5'6" tall, with a clean-shaven face.

Suspect two is described as being a White male with a light tan, possibly in his mid-30s, approx. 6'0" tall, with a clean-shaven face.

Both suspects were wearing dark hoodies.

The vehicle is described as a black four-door mid-sized sedan, possibly a Chevrolet.

  • 30-06 M1 Garand rifle
  • .22 cal. Cooey Model 82 with a scope
