RCMP responds to two vehicle collision with serious injuries

This evening at approximately 6:14 p.m., RCMP responded to a collision between a pickup truck and a car at the intersection of Ridge Rd. and Grand Pre Rd. in Wolfville Ridge. EHS and Wolfville Fire Department also responded. The driver and passenger of the car, both adult males from Halifax County, were transported to hospital with serious injuries. Four adult occupants of the truck all from Kings County suffered injury requiring transport to hospital, some appeared serious.

The investigation is ongoing. An RCMP Collision Analyst is on scene and the roadway remains closed and is not expected to reopen before midnight. Traffic is being diverted at Hamilton Rd. and Grand Pre Rd as well as Hwy 1 and Grand Pre Rd.
