East Tremont man charged in multiple separate historical sexual assaults

Kings District RCMP has laid multiple sexual assault charges in separate incidents in Kings County and is reaching out to the community, in the event there are additional victims.

Jakob Mark Fardy, 22, of East Tremont, has been charged with five counts of Sexual Assault in relation to incidents that occurred in Kings County between 2016 and May 2020. Fardy is also being charged with three counts of assault in relation to these allegations. There have been five victims identified who are now in their twenties.

The investigation is ongoing in partnership with Kentville Police Services. Investigators believe there may be additional victims and want the public to know that the police can help. Anyone who feels they could be a victim, or has questions, is encouraged to contact the RCMP at 902-679-5555 in New Minas or 902-765-3317 in Kingston. Fardy has been released from custody on conditions. Fardy is scheduled to appear in Kentville Provincial Court on September 2.
