RCMP investigates four suspicious incidents

Halifax District RCMP is currently investigating four complaints involving a suspicious man approaching females in Lower Sackville.

On Thursday, Halifax District RCMP released information about an incident that took place on Wednesday just prior to 1 p.m., where a woman waiting for a bus on Sackville Dr. was approached by a man in a vehicle seeking directions to Halifax. The man loosely gripped the woman's arm and she was able to free herself. Halifax District RCMP has since received three similar complaints of females being approached by a man driving a blue or green hatchback car.

At 1 p.m. on Wednesday near the transit terminal on Walker Ave., a man tried to get a teenage girl's attention. At 2 p.m. on Wednesday, a man pulled up in his car near the transit terminal on Walker Ave. and engaged a woman in conversation about taking the bus to Halifax. He then offered her a drive, which she refused. Sometime within the last few days, a man drove past a another teenage girl and offered her a drive.

The man in these incidents is described as having short, dark hair, a dark complexion and driving a green or blue hatchback car.

The investigation is ongoing.
