Community Constables

Who are we?

We are armed, uniformed peace officers who serve in our home communities. We're well suited for this because we're familiar with our community's language, culture and geography.

What do we do?

Our main mandate is to engage our communities in crime prevention and reduction activities.

We can also support the work of regular constables in their daily duties if required.

Requirements and training

We must meet standards similar to those for regular members. We spend 23 weeks training at the RCMP Academy (Depot) in Regina, Sask.
